What does your day look like?

  • Lead, coach, manage, and mentor your team
  • Strategically procure and order inventory including plant material, soils, fertilizers, tools, etc.- anticipating needs for future products
  • Provide advice and expertise in horticulture and gardening to our team and clients
  • Merchandise inventory and create beautiful product displays
  • Manage overall retail store, labour, and budget
  • Implement new and exciting marketing or event ideas

What do we need from you?

Must haves:

  • Ability to exceed expectations for all five of our core values
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer service role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role
  • Strong leadership qualities with ability to develop a dynamic team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Understands sales skills and comfortable training team on this
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays in our busy season
  • A passion for the landscaping and horticulture industry
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repetitively and work in all weather conditions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook email and calendar

Additional assets that you may have:

  • Ability to operate skid steer, or willingness to learn through our in-house training program
  • Knowledge on differing soil types, fertilizers/pesticides, and overall pest management

Please note that this role is a seasonal position at this time working for approximately 9 months of the year. Perfect for you if you love travelling in the winter to somewhere warm or like winter activities!

Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
