What does your day look like?
- Lead, coach, manage, and mentor your team
- Strategically procure and order inventory including plant material, soils, fertilizers, tools, etc.- anticipating needs for future products
- Provide advice and expertise in horticulture and gardening to our team and clients
- Merchandise inventory and create beautiful product displays
- Manage overall retail store, labour, and budget
- Implement new and exciting marketing or event ideas
What do we need from you?
Must haves:
- Ability to exceed expectations for all five of our core values
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a customer service role
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to develop a dynamic team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Understands sales skills and comfortable training team on this
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays in our busy season
- A passion for the landscaping and horticulture industry
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds repetitively and work in all weather conditions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook email and calendar
Additional assets that you may have:
- Ability to operate skid steer, or willingness to learn through our in-house training program
- Knowledge on differing soil types, fertilizers/pesticides, and overall pest management

Please note that this role is a seasonal position at this time working for approximately 9 months of the year. Perfect for you if you love travelling in the winter to somewhere warm or like winter activities!
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
